DRAWING RESTRAINT 20 was performed at The Morgan Library and Museum, New York in May 2013. The action employed an Olympic weight-lifting bar loaded with four plates, and a mat with a bed of graphite powder at either end. One end of the bar rested in the corner of a mat against a fulcrum. The plates were coated with petroleum jelly and set down on the graphite, and then lifted against the wall. The action generated graphite marks in an arc shape on the wall, and prints on the mat left by hands and feet.
